My first completed short story in a loooong time..I took something that I've been mulling around in my brain for a while and I made a short story out of it. A huge stone building, aged and worn, rises above the flat landscape. Tall towers rise out of the main building like weeds and the tallest one of all rises twice as high as all the others. A rusty fence surrounds the premises and a dirt road leads up to the open gate on to the castle grounds. The place has seen better days, but it still feels welcoming.
